A six-session biblical guide for small groups and individuals on how to be courageous followers of Christ in contemporary society. (Includes full leaders’ guide). Chapters include topics such as overcoming fear, courage perspectives and commitment, strength and weakness, boldness, spiritual warfare, God's provision and grace. Studies and examples are taken from both Old and New Testaments and are useful for practical daily Christian living. Studies are not only to encourage discussion but to discover how we can implement practical Christian courage in an ever increasing stressful and stressed society. This study guide has been produced, with small groups in mind, but is equally useful for individual study. It is recommended to allow an hour and a half for group study to allow time for discussion, but chapters can be divided into sections and used for shorter studies. The writer has provided a ‘Pause and Reflect’ section half way. You may use this as a separate study to allow participants to refresh what they have learned and to check for understanding or more time for students to ask questions that may have arisen post-session.It is advisable that participants are encouraged to read the biblical portion in advance of each group session as part of their preparation. This will enhance their learning, giving time for reflection on the passage, and allow more time for discussion during the small group session.
